footnotes.pot	Defines the strings available for translation (@todo check if up-to-date).
footnotes_[country code].po	Defines the translations for various locales (@todo check if up-to-date).
footnotes_[country code].mo	The compiled versions of the .po files (@todo add build step and remove these from version control?).
